The Mustang and Bronco Divisions finished up their regular season on Saturday and both divisions are ready for the playoffs. Saturday also another over-the-fence home run in the Mustang division when Maryland Terrapin Matthew Leyva crushed a first inning solo shot in his teams win against LSU. We are still hoping to get a picture of Matthew or even video of the home run.
The Mustang Maryland Terrapins team clinched the regular season title two days earlier and will go into the Mustang playoffs as the number one seed. Despite the loss on Saturday, the Mustang LSU Tigers will be the number 3 seed in the playoffs despite having the same 8-6-1 record as the number 4 seed USC Trojans. This is because the first tie-breaker is head-to-head and LSU holds a 2 games to 1 advantage (please ignore where the Iscore standings list LSU and USC, it is incorrect). Those two teams will play each other next Saturday at 5:30pm.
The other divisions are still not completely settled. We are still waiting on Shetland scores to be reported and there is still one make-up game on Monday to determine the number 5 seed. The Pinto division still has several make-up games next week that will determine seeds 2 thru 6. The Pony division is still very much up in the air with several games remaining next week as well. The playoff pages have been added to each division under the 2014 Season Menu above. Pages include brackets with game schedules and eventually, game results. The Google Calendar has also been updated with playoff games for the teams that been seeded.
