As of this coming Saturday, March 15, there will be no more scorekeeping trainers available at the league’s expense. Saturday, each Pinto and Mustang team should have their assigned scorekeeper prepared to scorekeep their teams games. Remember that EACH team is responsible to supply a scorekeeper, one for the iPad and the other to assist and run the scoreboard. The scorekeeper’s other responsibilities also include
- Setting up scorekeeping table and chairs.
- Setting up scoreboard controllers.
- Checking out and in the iPad.
- Putting everything away after the last game.
A reminder to all Pinto, Mustang and Bronco players, coaches, parents and fans, the only official statistics categories are Innings pitched and wins and losses. The rest of the statistics are bonus information that are provided by the league as fun information for the enjoyment of players and parents. Everyone should try to be as accurate as possible but there are limitations as none of us are professional scorekeepers.
However, we do have professional scorekeepers available for any team willing to pay them. The two trainers, Josh Lopez and Kyle Guzman, are making themselves available for any game. While the league has approved both of these scorekeepers, the league won’t be paying for them. Josh and Kyle charge $20 per game and can be contacted at 626-848-8307. Should you want them to scorekeep your game or you want some more training, please contact them at that number.
