Shetland, Pinto and Bronco Teams Clinch 1 Seeds

With the season winding down for all levels, most divisions have determined the regulars season winners and the number 1 seeded team going into the playoffs. The Shetland Florida St. Seminoles, managed by Manuel Burgoss, clinched this past Saturday with a win over Shetland UCLA Bruins. They will enter the Shetland playoff tournament as the number 1 seed and play the winner of the number 8 and 9 seeds.

The Pinto division’s number 1 seed, Pinto USC Trojans, was the first team to clinch and manager Carlos Cons’ team did it two weeks ago. They still remain undefeated at 11-0.

The Bronco Clemson Tigers clinched the regular season title Tuesday night in a battle between the second place team, Bronco Maryland Terrapins. With Maryland leading 3-2 after 3 innings, Clemson Tiger Lachlan Durlach, broke open the game after Clemson loaded the bases and Durlach cleared them with fly ball single and scoring himself after an error in center field. The Tigers got a double and a triple from Angel Williams that helped Clemson win the game 8 to 3. This is Clemson manager Chris Jones’s second regular season title in the Bronco division in four years.

The Mustang Division should be decided Thursday or Saturday with either the Mustang Maryland Terrapins or Oregon St. Beavers taking the number one seed.
